Seeking Volunteer Participation for Document Revision – Call for Nominations
C28-A2 to A3, How to Define and Determine Reference Intervals in the Clinical Laboratory
The Area Committee for Clinical Chemistry and Toxicology is inviting working group participants to carry out a revision of NCCLS document C28-A2 — How to Define and Determine Reference Intervals in the Clinical Laboratory; Approved Guideline—Second Edition. In revising C28, the working group will address the following issues: a) pediatric ranges; b) validation of existing ranges for new method/instrument; c) validation of manufacturer’s recommended ranges; and d) establishing new ranges. Members should have current knowledge and experience to address the revision objectives outlined.
NCCLS volunteers, experts in the medical-testing community, share and enhance their technical expertise and work together to develop reliable and practical consensus standards and guidelines to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical laboratory practices and medical testing.
