Executive Vice President's Message

You Spoke and We Listened: CLSI Launches a New Website

Last week, in order to serve you better, we launched a completely redesigned website built on a new, state-of-the-art hardware and software platform.  Your responses to recent surveys indicated that our website would benefit from changes in design, navigation, ease of use, searching, and access to standards and guidelines.

You spoke and we listened, improving our website by:

  • streamlining the overall design and navigation, enabling access to content in three clicks or less;
  • providing quick and easy access to our newest documents via the Recently Published Documents navigation box on the lower, left-hand side of every page;
  • implementing new Forums software for committee use and standards development that seamlessly integrates with Microsoft Office products;
  • redesigning and expanding event registration and online store capabilities; and
  • expanding the Members Only and News & Events sections.

To our nearly 2,000 daily website visitors, we hope your use of our website will now be a more intuitive and informative experience, where you can easily find what you are looking for.  To the volunteers that have been instrumental in the testing of Forums for online committee collaboration, you have my sincere appreciation. It is through your efforts that Forums will be available to all of our standards-development committees over the next several months. Together, we can leverage new technologies, expanding access to the standards, guidelines, Checklists, Quick Guides, and electronic products that enable laboratorians worldwide to improve the quality of health care testing. Ultimately, that is the mission of CLSI—to improve the quality of health care testing, which in turn, improves the quality of patient care.

As CLSI celebrates its 40th year, we continue to welcome your feedback and suggestions (CustomerService@clsi.org). It is only through the commitment of our members, volunteers, and customers that we will continue to fulfill our mission for the next 40 years.

Glen
