Executive Vice President's Message

The Only Constant is Change…

As many of you may have heard, John Zlockie, our Vice President of Standards, recently left CLSI after 25 years of service to pursue new opportunities. John has been instrumental in setting up the processes and procedures integral to our growth and our reputation for openness, balance, and integrity. John embodied our organizational values, and we wish him all the best.

We have begun the recruiting process for a new Vice President of Standards. You can access the job description here, and it is also posted on our website at www.clsi.org. If you are interested in applying or know of any interested candidates for this position, please let me hear from you.

In the interim, Lois Schmidt, DA, has been appointed Acting Vice President of Standards. Jennifer McGeary will retain her current title as Director of Standards and Quality but will assume additional duties, specifically relating to management of ISO and other activities, as well as maintenance of our administrative procedures.

CLSI has an ambitious agenda for fiscal year 2008, which begins on 1 July, and this is an exciting time for all of us. We look forward to another great year and thank you for being part of our success—past, present, and future.

Glen
