Making the Most of Your Purchasing Power

A thorough information search can help you acquire the analyzers and automation that provide the best fit for your lab.

The search for the perfect balance manifests itself in countless ways and places, but for a laboratory administrator, the need for balance becomes most obvious in the search for analyzers and automation systems.

Administrators must weigh cost against performance and reliability to find the best value for their lab. This balancing act requires consideration of a wide array of qualities and can be a time-consuming and exhausting project.

But striking this necessary balance can be easier with a well-thought out plan and utilization of all available resources. Know where your lab stands and in what direction it needs to move and do your homework in terms of researching potential options, and your lab can achieve the coveted equilibrium between high-cost super-performers and low-budget unreliability.
