Save the Date - 2 April 2008

for the CLSI 2008 Leadership Conference Workshop To Your Good Health!

Join us in celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) formed in 1968 as the National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (NCCLS).

Over the past 40 years, CLSI has had the good fortune of developing strong relationships with industry, regulatory agencies, professional organizations, and dedicated volunteers committed to improving the quality of clinical laboratory testing. Through these associations advancements have been made in providing standards, guidelines, and education to facilitate translation of research methods to effective testing; implementation of life-saving screening and intervention; expansion of access to near-patient rapid testing; and increased global reach of standardized quality laboratory practices ─ all leading to sustainable high-quality testing and better healthcare worldwide.

The workshop entitled To Your Good Health! will focus on challenges and advancements in four areas of importance to public health.

  • HIV/AIDS and the PEPFAR Program
  • Challenges of MRSA Testing, Surveillance and Treatment
  • Newborn Screening by Tandem Mass Spectrometry
  • Quality Practices for Non-Instrumented Testing in all Point-of-Care Settings

Additional information about the workshop and registration will be available on our website in late November.
