Recent Board of Directors Appointments

With the recent resignation of Mr. Wayne Brinster as the Secretary of CLSI’s Board of Directors due to increased work responsibilities in his senior role at Becton Dickinson Tri-Path, Dr Robert Habig has made the following appointments, effective immediately:

Mary Lou Gantzer, PhD, has been appointed to fulfill Mr. Brinster’ s unexpired term as Board Secretary.  Dr Gantzer, Vice President of Clinical and Scientific Affairs at Dade Behring, is currently a second term Board member form Industry.  In addition, she is the current chair of two board level committees – the Quality and Ethics and Financial Audit Committees.

Luann Ochs, MS, has been appointed to fulfill the remainder of Dr Gantzer’s Board position.  Ms Ochs, Vice President of Clinical Operations at BD Diagnostics Tri-Path, currently chairs both the Area Committee for Evaluation Protocols as well as the US Technical Advisory Group to ISO TC212.  In addition, Ms Ochs is a member of the Board Nominating Committee and has been very active on a number of CLSI consensus projects over the years.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Gantzer and Ms Ochs to their new roles.
