CLSI Announces New Corresponding and Associate Active Membership Categories Effective 1 January 2007

Based on the results of extensive market research, including focus groups with members, Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) announces new Corresponding and Associate Active Membership categories effective 1 January 2007. The new categories are designed to make membership easier to understand, to simplify self-selection for participation, and to create targeted benefits that better serve members.

Corresponding and Associate Active Membership is open worldwide to individual clinical laboratories, professional practice groups, and healthcare institutions, such as hospitals, clinics, and independent laboratories. For current Corresponding and Associate Active Members, the transition to the new categories takes place at the time of membership renewal. For instance, if an organization was up for renewal prior to 1 January 2007, they will remain in the current membership categories with current annual membership dues until their next renewal for 2008. If an organization is up for renewal after 1 January 2007, they will select from the new levels of membership with revised membership dues and benefits.

Here’s a glimpse of the new Corresponding/Associate Active Membership categories and levels:

Levels of Membership
CLSI gives you a choice of membership levels.  You can self-select the level you want based on your needs and budget. As a rule of thumb, to qualify for these levels of membership your facility must conduct patient testing on site. We also give you the option to switch levels as your needs change when you renew your annual membership.
