CLSI Releases New Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing Standards
Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA—1 January 2006—Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute’s (CLSI) widely used antimicrobial susceptibility testing standards have been simultaneously updated for publication this month:  Performance Standards for Antimicrobial Disk Susceptibility Tests; Approved Standard––Ninth Edition (M2-A9); Methods for Dilution Antimicrobial Susceptibility Tests for Bacteria That Grow Aerobically; Approved Standard––Seventh Edition (M7-A7); Performance Standards for Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing; Sixteenth Informational Supplement (M100-S16).

New CLSI Standard: Specifications for Specimen Container Bar-Code Labels

CLSI Receives Cooperative Agreement to Improve HIV Testing Worldwide
Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA—15 September 2005Global standards-development organization Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI, formerly NCCLS) has received a $365,000 USD cooperative agreement from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (HHS/CDC) for capacity-building assistance for global HIV/AIDS laboratory guidelines and standards development.
