Celebrate Our New Name: Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute

At the upcoming 2005 Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute Leadership Conference, taking place 16-18 March 2005 in Baltimore, MD, Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) will celebrate our new organizational name, which became effective 1 January 2005.

Excitement is building for the name change celebration. From the moment attendees arrive at the conference, they will feel an instant connection to our new identity. On Thursday evening, 17 March, at the President’s Reception hosted by Thomas L. Hearn, Ph.D., CLSI President, attendees have the opportunity to maximize their time by networking and mingling with Tom and other CLSI volunteers to celebrate our new name.

“We have made tremendous progress announcing and reinforcing our new name among our key stakeholders,” says Glen Fine, M.S., M.B.A, Executive Vice President, CLSI. “At the conference in March, our members, volunteers, and customers will have an exclusive opportunity to come together to celebrate this exciting time for our organization.”

In 2005, the marketing and communication campaign continues to publicize the new name, and emphasizes the organization’s commitment to its mission and values. Mr. Fine concludes, “We will pursue opportunities that will help maintain the momentum of our name change and align all aspects of our brand with the organization’s evolution.”
